Adult Outpatient Services

Lookout Mountain Community Services (LMCS) provides a full array of mental health services to adults with a wide range of behavioral and/or psychiatric disorders.  Outpatient treatment modalities include diagnostic assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, as well as psychiatric evaluations and medication.

Recovery Services

Case Management

Case Management is a community-based service that assesses needs, provides linkage and referral, along with monitoring and follow-up.  Recipients of this service are those individuals who are severely and persistently mentally ill, and have a high rate of psychiatric inpatient hospitalizations, or have recently been incarcerated, or are chronically homeless. Services include: assistance in finding safe, affordable housing, opportunities for social interaction, or other services an individual may need.

Addictive Diseases Support Services and Psychosocial Rehabilitation-Individual

Addictive Diseases Support Services and Psychosocial Rehabilitation-Individual guide those who are severely mentally ill or have addictive disease issues towards recovery, by providing education and support.  Services include education in the areas of mental health, physical health, social and leisure skills, education, employment, substance use, daily living skills, and family relationships.

Peer Support Program

LMCS offers a Peer Support Program located in Walker County.  The program operates five days a week, and offers training and supports in the four environments essential to recovery: living, learning, working, and social.  The agency employs a Certified Peer Specialist who serves as the Program Leader.

Supported Employment

LMCS offers an extensive Supported Employment Program for persons recovering from severe and persistent mental illness. The Supported Employment Program emphasizes competetive employment and rapid job search, based upon the individuals vocational skills and interests.
